NMC OSCE Preparation Planner: Your Roadmap to Success 2025

NMC OSCE preparation

NMC OSCE preparation (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re an internationally educated nurse aiming to join the UK healthcare workforce. However, with the right plan in place, passing the NMC OSCE becomes much more achievable. Here we will guide you through a realistic and practical NMC OSCE preparation planner for the Exam.

Understand the NMC OSCE Structure

Before jumping into NMC OSCE preparation, it is important to understand what the NMC OSCE involves. The exam tests your clinical and communication skills across various stations. In adult nursing, the exam typically includes:

  • APIE Stations (Assessment, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation)
  • Skills Stations (e.g., ANTT, wound care, Catheter Removal, etc.)
  • Professional Values and Evidence-Based Practice

Each station assesses your ability to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care under pressure.

To help you prepare efficiently, we have outlined some recommended steps. By following these, your preparation will become more structured, focused, and easier to manage.
