The UK NMC OSCE, also known as the UK Nursing OSCE, is the Test of Competence required to acquire an NMC PIN for overseas nurses. The latest marking criteria of adult OSCE has now been released on the official portal.
Compared to the previous May version, the July 2025 edition introduces only minor updates. According to Mentor Merlin, the UK’s leading OSCE trainer, this information has been updated across all nursing OSCE communities.
The only updates in the latest marking criteria are summarized in the following table:

Subcutaneous Injection | Use Apron and Gloves during the station | No need to use Apron and Gloves |
EBP – Cervical Cancer | Advises Roshni that she should attend for screening every 3 years until she turns 49, when she should attend every 5 years. Women will be invited to attend after 65 only if they have previously received an abnormal result. | Advises Roshni that she should attend for screening every 5 years until she turns 64. Women aged 65 and over will be invited to attend only if they have previously received an abnormal result. |
All other stations remain unchanged.
