·       You will get all documents from previous stations. You will get an Evaluation scenario which contains the recent condition of the patient.

·       Read the Evaluation scenario carefully, so you can understand the current condition of the patient.

·       Review the patient’s case and relevant clinical information and identify the key points that need to be communicated.

2. NMC OSCE Evaluation -Start with the Situation

3. NMC OSCE Evaluation – Provide Background Information

·       Clarify Needs: “I would appreciate [resolving the reason for handover].”

You need to utilize all the scenarios and paperwork you used for your assessment, planning and implementation for an effective handover. All these papers will be available for you along with the evaluation scenario.

·   Ensure your verbal communication is clear and appropriate.

·   Spend less than 3 minutes to make notes so you get enough time for handover verbalisation.
